(That means you can't use the same path on both the screen and the printer.) Suppose you already have a Font object named font, and you want to add text to a path based on that font. But you need to calculate an fSize argument to AddString based on the desired point size of the font and the resolution of the device. Before rendering the path, you simply set page units to points:Īnother approach (one that I'll be using in the sample programs in the remainder of this chapter) lets you use the default page units when rendering the font. Perhaps the simplest approach is to call AddString with the desired point size of the font. It's likely that you want text in a path to be compatible with text displayed normally. (That's 72/120 inch times 72 points to the inch.) If the video resolution is 120 dpi, for example, the 72-unit size of the font will be interpreted as 72/120 inch and will appear about the size of a 43-point font. (That's 0.72 inch times 72 points to an inch.) If you render the path on the screen using the default GraphicsUnit.Pixel page units, the size of the font will depend on the video resolution. But if you render the path on the printer using the default GraphicsUnit.Display page units, the 72 units will be interpreted as 0.72 inch, and the text will be rendered in the same size as a 52-point font. If the page unit is GraphicsUnit.Point, the text will be rendered in the same size as a 72-point font drawn using DrawString. What does that number mean? How large will the font be? It all depends on the page transform in effect when you eventually render that path by calling DrawPath or FillPath. Let's assume you add a text string to a path by calling AddString with a fourth argument of 72. (And if there were an AddString method that did include a Font argument, it would undoubtedly be restricted to a Font object created with GraphicsUnit.Pixel or GraphicsUnit.World.) For that reason, the AddString method can't be defined in terms of a Font. The path is only a collection of coordinates. When you render text using that font, the size is interpreted at that time in terms of the current page coordinates of the output device.Ī path doesn't retain metrical information. The size of such a font is just a number. As I showed in Chapter 9, it's also possible to create a font that is not a specific metrical size by using the GraphicsUnit.Pixel or GraphicsUnit.World value in the Font constructor. Very often, you specify the font size in points, but you can also use inches or millimeters. When you create a font for drawing, you generally base the font on a specific metrical size. Notice that the third argument is defined as an int, but it's really a member of the FontStyle enumeration cast to an int. Instead of specifying a font (as in DrawString), you specify the three basic components that go into making a font (a font family, a style, and a size) plus a destination (either a point or a rectangle) and a StringFormat object:ĪddString(string str, FontFamily ff, int iStyle, float fSize, Point pt, StringFormat sf)ĪddString(string str, FontFamily ff, int iStyle, float fSize, PointF ptf,ĪddString(string str, FontFamily ff, int iStyle, float fSize, In contrast, the AddString methods of GraphicsPath are considerably different from the DrawString methods of the Graphics class. The AddLine method doesn't require a Pen argument because the path retains only the coordinates of the lines. You can add a line to a path by calling path.AddLine(x1, y1, x2, y2) For example, using the Graphics class, you can draw a line by calling grfx.DrawLine(pen, x1, y1, x2, y2) As you'll recall from Chapter 15, most of the Add methods in GraphicsPath are very similar to the corresponding Draw methods in the Graphics class. The first problem involves the AddString method itself. As usual, however, text is a little different from other graphics objects, and adding text to a path requires some special considerations. The straight lines and curves that make up the character outlines become part of the path. The GraphicsPath class includes a method named AddString that lets you add a text string to a path.

Expert’s Take On Binance Coin Price PredictionsīNB price forecasters across the web anticipate that Binance Coin will rise in the coming years.Īccording to our deep technical analysis on past price data of BNB, In 2022 the price of BNB is predicted to reach minimum level of $548.78. It’s also noteworthy that BNB failed to reach a new high in the October/November peak when Bitcoin and many other coins did - could this be an early sign that investors are losing interest?Ī final observation is that each time Binance Coin has spiked, it has never returned to its original lows - its new lows are always higher.Ĭrypto asset investing is highly volatile and unregulated in some EU countries. What is notable is that Binance Coin mostly follows the market trend that is dictated by Bitcoin. During this year, the price of Binance Coin spiked three distinct times.Ĭrossing $100 for the first time in 2021, BNB shot up to its all-time high by May, then sank midway through the year and attempted to retest its high towards the end of the year. Before you can form a solid idea of what BNB can reach, you need to do some historical price analysis. Taking a quick look at Binance Coin’s price history will tell you many things about its potential prices for the coming years. Historical Binance Coin (BNB) Price Movements Part of its success is thanks to its in-house matching engine that matches users who are looking to buy and sell the same asset simultaneously. A portmanteau of ‘binary’ and ‘finance’, Binance is the biggest crypto exchange in the world by a substantial margin. By introducing volatility, the price of the Binancecoin price will be driven lower, giving investors the chance to launch a run-up.If you want to invest in BNB quickly and easily, check out eToro Exchange! BNB - What Is Binance Coin?Īs you can probably guess from the name, Binance Coin (or just ‘BNB’) is issued by the popular cryptocurrency exchange, Binance. The BNB price may return to $274.09 and, in some situations, even as high as $301.01 in order to profit from the liquidity created above these equal highs. As a result, the BNB price will decline by an additional 11% and revisit the $216.39 support level, where buyers can enter and restart the uptrend. The bullish thesis will be proven false if the price drops below $243.41 and fails to hold this level. Prices quickly increased after a minor correction and eventually hit $301.0, forming new support and resistance levels at $274.09 and $301.01, respectively.Ĭurrently, the asset is trading below $274.09. For a month, the prices varied at the same level of support. The initial days of August saw a price decline at the support level of $274.09. In this case, the support and resistance levels are $216.39 and $243.41, respectively. Prices fell below this level of support, turning it into a resistance level before finally rising to $243.41. A significant price drop occurred during the second week of June, with $216.39 as a support level. Wait, people actually thought metamagic rods wouldn't work this way? That was pretty much spelled out in the rules as such. I myself will probably go by the first option, but I can see an argument for either way, and it is just odd that metamagic rods were a part of the original question, and left out of the faq (presumably) on purpose. Magical Lineage (mgc) / Wayang Spellhunter (rgn) - Pick one spell and cast. 1, that metamagic rods are included in this ruling, under the "in general" clause, or 2, they are left out of a general ruling because they specifically say "spells of 3rd level or lower" (lesser rods) At level 11, the cost is halved, and you can cast any spell in your book in. It was part of the original question, and then left out of the FAQ response. I wish they had just included, or mentioned metamagic rods in that post. Pathfinder Design Team, 10/18/13And while it doesn't specifically mention Metamagic Rods, the intent seems clear and the bolded text would appear to be a catch all anyway. Your ability to alter your spell of choice is greater than expected. Heighten Spell is really the only metamagic feat that makes using a higher-level spell slot an advantage instead of a disadvantage. The advantages of the metamagic feat are spelled out in the Benefits section of the feat, and the increased spell slot level is a disadvantage. 25gp for 1d6 damage is a bad trade by itself. The best way to use this is to trigger the Fell X metamagic feats, which only trigger if the spell deals damage. Scrolls of Magic Missile are a considerably better investment, which is very sad. In general, use the (normal, lower) spell level or the (higher) spell slot level, whichever is more of a disadvantage for the caster. Black Lore of Moil CAr (+0): The damage is poor, and this can get expensive very quickly. Obtainable by VMC, but probably not worth it by that method because of the intense feat sacrifice to get there. Meta-Rage (Metamagic Rager archetype for Bloodrager) - Apply a metamagic for free by sacrificing rounds of rage. The spell counts as the level of the spell slot necessary to cast it.įor example, an empowered burning hands uses a 3rd-level spell slot, counts as a 3rd-level spell for making concentration checks, counts as a 3rd-level spell for a magus's spell recall or a pearl of power. Obtainable for the low cost of 900 gp and preparing three of the spells from the book each day. Metamagic: At what spell level does the spell count for concentration DCs, magus spell recall, or a pearl of power? Supports WiFi configuration (wifi module is provided and removable).Power – Voltage/Current: 5V / 430mA when idle, 540mA-650mA when recording.Dimensions: PCB 36*38mm (30mm mounting pattern) / Lens Module 22*20mm.FOV Angle of Field: FPV FOV 130° / Recording FOV 165°.The 130 degree FOV in FPV is equivalent to a 2.5mm lens. Hopefully they can find/develop something that allows wider field of view in the future.īut the 165° FOV is still wider than the Runcam 3. To have Superview a special sensor is required, but the downside is higher latency which is bad for FPV, and incompatibility with Runcam’s WDR technology. The reason this is not possible at the moment being the imaging sensor. But if the cost can come down it might make it justifiable since a FPV camera isn’t needed. But with the Split, you will need one for each build. With HD cameras, we can share it between different builds. A lot of modern PDB and FC come with onboard 5V regulators, such as the Betaflight F3 has 5V/3A which is more than enough. Assuming your FC and RX each draws 100mA, I think you will at least need a 5V/1A voltage regulator in your setup. Mounting pattern is another issue, where micro quads might use smaller mounting patterns such as 20mm or 16mm.Īlso not all builds can provide the power/current for the camera to work, as the Split requires a 5V/650mA to operate. One limitation with this idea is tight builds, where it can be difficult to fit the extra PCB on top of the flight controller (such as the Speed Addict 210, and Armattan Chameleon). For example, if you wanted your FPV feed brighter, you would need to increase exposure in the camera, and it will make your HD footage look brighter too. The FPV camera settings are shared with the HD camera, which means you cannot adjust them independently. It’s not so much of a problem though when flying in the open. It’s flyable but I sometimes had to go slower to not crash. To me, the 50ms latency was noticeable flying proximity in tight spaces and in the forrest. There is no extra latency when recording 1080p 60fps. We have tested the latency and we can confirm it’s nearly identical to the previous Runcam 3, and on par with the Runcam Eagle. A pull request has already been submitted to Cleanflight and Betaflight to add this feature and even a tab in the configurator. Settings can be changed from FC (connected via UART serial port), or through WiFi on your smart phone with WiFi module. I would be very interested to see how the image quality would do with the smaller package, comparing to the previous Runcam 3 and Session 5. It can do 1080p at 60fps and it carried on the WDR technology from Runcam 3. No more HD camera mounting on top of the frame! To mini quad that’s huge, not only it can save you over 70g, COG is also more centralized without having a GoPro sitting at the front of your copter. The PCB board can be stacked on top of your FC/PDB, which means your HD camera is now full protected inside the quadcopter frame just like the rest of your electronics! You can connect the Split directly to a VTX so it works just like a FPV camera. The Split camera/lens is connected to a PCB board where the recording electronics and SD card reader are located. You can use the Runcam Split for FPV flying while recording 1080p60fps and totally replace your FPV camera. UPDATE (Aug 2017): You can now control the Split with your TX switches, if you are using Betaflight! Click here to see how. Check out our review of the Split V2.Ĭheck out our article on how to select an HD camera for racing drones. Update (Oct 2017): The Split 2 has been released to address some of the issues in the original version. I have to say that the concept of the Runcam Split might be a “game changer”. The “Split” has technically the same hardware as the discontinued Runcam 3, but it has been modified into a much more compact form factor. You are not in the position to demand anything. This is great, but as a user you need to understand that your are not a customer. They just allow us to use their creation, basically without any restrictions. The free referes to freedom, not free beer. I'd really like to see the user base around darktable grow and prosper.ĭarktable is my favorite raw processing tool and I would not want to replace it by C1, LR or the other well known applications.īeside being very powerful, darktable is free and open source software (FOSS). Glad to see you trying it out and I hope it works for you. I generally find a way to do what I need.Ī lot of people complain about the subscriptions but don't seem motivated to try the alternates. At this point I'd say while I could still use something else, I never really find a reason to look. It took me about a year to really get comfortable in it and I was looking at other options in that period. They change rapidly and features that seem exclusive to one generally make it to the other over time. I only use darktable because I prefer working on a single platform. Where it makes up for it in spades is "parametric masking" so I suggest you look up tutorials on youtube before you try doing too much with the brush.ĭarktable and rawtherapy are both very powerful tools. darktable uses a vector brush tool the doesn't add and subtract like LR so it is hard to control. One item I think LR is stronger at and darktable frustrates people converting at is the brush tool. That's of course not true for advanced manipulation like switching backgrounds, multi-exposure blending and other things PS is incredible at. The other thing I find is a lot of color manipulation that LR users do in PS, can be done using blend modes in darktable modules so there's no need to switch to another program for editing. The way the menu is, you can shut down modules you don't use and turn on ones you do or might. They all have specific situations where they work best. One of the reasons why there are so many ways to do things in darktable, is because modules get developed this way. It'll probably be standard in the next release. One of the developers (Bill Ferguson) picked up on it and wrote a lighttable module called filetether which works very well. You can certainly get away from the subscription but I would say the point of open source is to participate so the software becomes what you really want to use.įor example, I asked on if there was a way to automatically import a directory when a file is copied into it to work like a sudo-tether on a directory rather than specific to a camera. I'm generally very happy with LR / Photoshop (except for hating the subscription concept). Scanned books, magazines, articles and more convert with OCR online. Is FALCON RISING going to win any Oscars? No. My hat is off to director Barbarash for keeping the film exciting without every overdoing it with quick cut edits. Every fight was as brutal as it was entertaining. Each shot counted, which brought a real life feel to the movie. There were no indiscriminate sprays of bullets, no machine guns going clacka-clacka-clacka for minutes on end. At times I was reminded of EQUILBRIUM’s gun-kata style, with punches followed by well placed shots, followed by kicks and then another shot. It’s amazing to see a guy so covered in muscle leap and spin as quickly as he does.īut what I really enjoyed was how well the gunplay was integrated into the fights. White is a powerhouse, his size matched only by his speed. The story is simple, the acting proficient, and the locations exotic, all of which pleases my inner 80s child, but the action…oh the action is what you really came for, and it does not disappoint. And when his fists start flying, neither do they.įALCON RISING is a mixture of old and new action styles. When he eventually discovers who the true forces are behind his sister’s attack, it’s an enemy he never saw coming. Knowing those bastards have to pay, he hops a plane and, with the help of his old military friend Manny (Neal McDonough), begins the search. White plays John “Falcon” Chapman, a former soldier and PTSD sufferer whose sister is badly beaten by unknown evildoers in the favelas of Sao Paolo, Brazil. So, you can imagine how please I was to watch FALCON RISING, a straight-up action movie staring Michael Jai White ( SPAWN, BLACK DYNAMITE) and directed by Ernie Barbarash ( 6 BULLETS, HARDWIRED). Sure, the movies looked good, but often I wished for the occasional return to yesteryear, when I could sit back and watch a good guy kill a bad guy in a flurry of punches and hollow point ammo. And the action got even more complicated, with every fight needing wirework, and a million cameras took it in from every angle imaginable, all of which we had to see in a rapid volley of quick cuts. Suddenly our heroes were troubled and our villains were shades of gray. Then the 90s came, followed by the 00s, and things got complicated. Life was simple back then, straightforward. Their motives didn’t need to be convoluted, the villains didn’t require an ounce of sympathetic humanity, and justice was dealt at the end of a gun, a roundhouse kick, or hopefully both. All they needed to justify killing dozens – if not hundreds – of faceless bad guys was righteous revenge. Back in the 80s, cinematic action heroes had it easy. This is where Handbrake comes in: it converts content from DVD to MPEG4 or H.264 video for later enjoyment on your computer, iPod, iPhone, or AppleTV. For instance, you need a DVD player (or a computer with a DVD drive) to watch them. But I do recognize the downsides of DVDs. That's more than 250 megabits per second-something my friendly neighborhood ISP still can't deliver. I'm not so sure about that, as a ten minute trip to the video store easily gives me 20GB worth of content in the form of a few of those silvery discs. It looks like you’re talking about the individual files of a DVD (Video_TS etc) and not the actual titles (or tracks) of the DVD. Unfortunately, I do not have a DVD-Rom drive or DVDs any more, so it is difficult to verify this. I had no problems with the episodes after this. However, the files directly off the DVD with MakeMKV were large. Downloaded the five separate episodes per DVD. It did an incredible job of identifying the real and fake tracks. Not only did MakeMKV solve the Season 15 Jumping Track problem, when I did the Windows Media Player trick to find the tracks for season 14, the tracks it identified and I therefore ripped didn’t have audio. I did indeed try the MakeMKV, and it solved the Jumping Track problem. |
